Welcome to my world of art. I am Tony West, a Scottish artist passionate about creating unique pieces that blend traditional techniques with contemporary design. My journey in art began over two decades ago, and since then, I have dedicated my life to mastering various mediums including linocut printmaking, silverpoint drawing, and jewelry crafting.
My artistic philosophy centers on the belief that art should be both beautiful and meaningful. Each piece I create tells a story, whether it's the intricate lines of a silverpoint portrait capturing a moment in time, or the bold textures of a linocut print expressing the raw beauty of nature.
The silverpoint technique, a Renaissance-era method using silver wire on specially prepared surfaces, holds a special place in my practice. The delicate, luminous quality of silverpoint drawings creates timeless pieces that develop a warm patina over the years.
